Wembley Stadium will not host the 2026 edition of the Community Shield, the FA have announced. The traditional curtain-raiser pits the reigning league champions against the FA Cup winners and typically takes place on the weekend before the Premier League gets under way.

We did very, very well. We had an excellent first half, we were 3-0 up very quickly but could have been four or five up at half-time. Then we couldn't score the fourth one or the fifth one.
